[YGL STYLE FILE] “The Baddest Female” Music Video — The Shoes Edition

TO ANYONE who thought that CL’s music video would only consist of a few shoe changes, I sympathetically give you a pat on the back. To put it simply, it is shoe insanity in CL’s “The Baddest Female” and none of these shoes are for the faint hearted.

I burn, I pine, I perish, my friends! For this shoe collection that is sadly not mine.Our CL Gizibe be as cool as tiles in winter in her music video (Unnie ohhhhhhhhh woo!)

Save for 2 pairs of shoes seen here, I don’t particularly suggest you try to do any ambitious sports competition in any of them, unless you want to end up with a broken ankle and a torn ligament. I don’t recommend trying to run after public transport in the majority of these shoes either. That being said, all these shoes have been lovingly crafted by some of the best crafts(wo)men in the world and are definitely worthy of admiration and a double take. So let’s do that now!

Giuseppe Zanotti Metallic color-block platform sandal: This colourful and playful sandal has a whopping 6 inch heel with a 2 inch platform that will help give definite rise to your height as well as your happy meter.

Saint Laurent Paris Patent Leather Pumps: I cannot express to you how much I love these heels. I love these dangerous dagger heel pumps and I’m still celebrating that CL decided to wear these beauties in her MV.

Giuseppe Zanotti Metallic wedge hi-top trainer: CL seems to have a propensity towards Mr. Zanotti’s metallic embellished shoes; not that that’s a bad thing! These shoes are most perfect in wear for some light up hopscotch; you could hop for hours in these babies and know that they’d still be snug around your foot.

Prada White Leather Sandal: Another one of my favourite pair of heels worn by CL in her MV; there is just something extra special about Prada sandals; I have a whole list of shoes I’d like to buy from Prada and this sandal in suede pink is going on my list too. You can go check out other colours this sandal on Prada’s official website.

Giuseppe Zanotti T-strap chain platform sandals: Block, wedge and now stiletto heels- it looks like CL decided to do a triple Zanotti threat! Also known as one of Zanotti’s ‘alien’ high heels, there is some very precarious stuff going on here with these beauties! Stay on concrete ground whilst wearing these ladies, and watch out for those annoying potholes. Or, you could do what CL does and just wave your legs round in the air and show people how fine your legs are, either way works.

Adidas x Jeremy Scott JS P-Letters: the perfect shoe to wear to get you into a dance mood. If you’ve thought that maybe Jeremy’s previous shoe collabs with Adidas have been a bit too colourful for you, then perhaps these are more to your liking?

Christian Louboutin Triboclou 100 Zebra-Print Calf Hair And Python Ankle Boots: Seriously, what a mouth full! But totally worth every bite! It’s perfectly fitting; CL wearing C.L. No galloping round plains of grassland in these babies though, you’ll be stuck heels first in dirt before you can even begin to sing ‘The Circle of Life’.

Tom Ford Strappy Buckled Sandal Boot in Black: Wow and frighten your friends with this Tom Ford wonder, but if you value your kneecaps, then no mountain climbing with these on. Us mortals must stay on smooth ground.

Gareth Pugh Black Suede And Leather Accent Heel Boots: Mmm these are lovely (and cost a pretty penny too). Some people say suede and leather don’t work together, but if you look at these metalled heel boots, I couldn’t disagree more.

KTZ Lace up Sneakers: Stylish sneakers that will always make sure you’ll never forget how to tie your shoelaces. Hitting two birds with one stone. Win!

Now as you can see, we currently have a shoe that is still lurking in the grey. Know who designed the black platform stiletto ankle boot that CL was wearing on her CL swing? Also, those of you who were counting outfits will note there are two outfits (the pink leather jungle fairy look and the Black and White leather Chrome Hearts outfit at the start of the Baddest Female MV) where we haven’t identified any shoes. If you look closely, AND WE DID, CL’s shoes in those outfits are never shown. If by some miracle they show the shoes in the BTS footage or we find them in some other way, we will be sure to update you.
